The goal of Hardly Hustle is to provide inspiration, drive and motivation in a 10 minute read or less. What you see is what you get. This is hot off the press without an editing team.
Shraddha Rathod is up. And...
In case you missed her story in 2019, you may want to start here first.
What is your name & current role?
Shraddha Rathod, Founder at Freshspire
Explain to the audience what it is that you do, or if it failed, what you did do?
There are inefficient infrastructure and transparency in our nation's food systems - a problem that was truly shown during the pandemic. We provide software and data services for sustainable food systems.
Since you last shared on Hardly Hustle, what have you been up to?
We still sell our software, but with a bit more of a focus on data. We work with the government and nonprofits to give them transparency into their food programs.
Since your last story, any responses you’d tweak or add to?
I still resonate with what I wrote but I think I put a lot more value on balance and focusing on living an enriched life outside of your venture. It's so important to keep being inspired, to learn, and to understand yourself better over time!
What have you automated or thought about automating in your day to day to make life easier?
Walking while working! Movement is medicine, and I find that I'm cognitively much sharper in motion. If an Excel spreadsheet isn't required, I am often writing emails, taking calls or writing notes to myself while on a walk.
What hire has made the most impact for you?
I hired some contractors to manage work that I was losing energy working on. I learned to identify aspects that depleted my energy and find help in those areas :)
Has your work-life balance gotten better or worse, and why?
It's gotten better as I conscientiously focused on balance.
What’s one thing you’re bullish on or think is a good idea?
Products/systems to deal with increasing the increasing temperature is an interesting and impactful area in my opinion.
What is one business tool or resource you can’t live without?
Airtable, Google Sheets, Gmail, Texts
What is one "life hack" or one tool in your life, personal or professional, that has made a large impact?
Understanding what makes me have a great day! It usually includes moving my body and eating well :)
