Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Cornelius Kirk and I am a Father, Author, Podcast Owner/host and co-owner of Bro Code Media. I've been in Raleigh, NC since 2009 and have 20 years in Sales Leadership for Large Corporate enterprises.
What did it take/how did you get started?
Pandemic stopped us and we created the Bro Code Platform to be able to connect. Once the world opened up we quickly shifted to in person events, interviews, red carpet events, media interviews and speaking engagements.
What does the future look like for you and your business?
Bright! We are committed to investing in ourselves, and our community. We believe the best way is through the Power of Collaboration with partnerships and sponsorships.
What drives / motivates you on a daily basis?
I made a promise to myself as a kid that I would also help others to feel better about life when I had the chance. I also want my mother to know her sacrifices weren't in vain.
What advice would you give someone interested in doing what you do?
Just start. You need not have it all figured it. Find mentors who are where you want to be and ask questions. Make sure to listen.
What has been the hardest part of your business journey?
Finding like minded individuals who are committed to the process it takes to scale. You can't do it without a team.
How have you managed burnout thus far?
We are serious about self care. Rest, fitness and nutrition are all a part of the success journey. I won't succeed in business and lose in health. Wellness is the new cool.
What are a few resources that you'd recommend?
My favorite books are Think and grow rich and 4 agreements. Youtube is a new age free university. Of course The Bro Code Show.
