Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Hayato and I own a company called RocketOffr. We source off-market deals in the Midwest and currently do about 15-20 deals per month. I currently live in Long Beach, CA and even though it's outside of LA it is extremely expensive. It's tough to find homes that are below $750k that cashflow (using financing) and that's why the Midwest was so appealing. The prices of the homes can range from $30k - $150k and you can get great cash-flowing properties that also appreciate over time. My goal is to continue building my rental portfolio and help others do the same through RocketOffr and make virtual out-of-state investing as easy as possible.
What did it take / how did you get started?
I first got introduced into Real Estate by my college roommate who was involved in Real Estate. And when I asked him what's his biggest pain point he mentioned that it is always tough to find good deals and many of the wholesalers that he works with are not very reputable. That's when we saw an opportunity to do it better and source off-market deals for our investors so that we can be a one-stop shop for any investor looking to buy properties out of state virtually.
What does the future look like for you and your hustle?
We want to expand nationwide and grow into different markets. I want RocketOffr to be known as the best place to go for off-market real estate deals and be doing hundreds of deals per month.
What drives / motivates you?
What motivates me is helping other investor's grow their real estate investments and achieve financial freedom, as that is what I am working towards as well.
What advice would you give someone interested in doing what you do?
For anyone looking to do what I do, or start any business in general I think you just need to take action and get started. Once you understand 80-90% of something just jump right in and take action. You'll learn as you go.
What has been the hardest part of the hustle?
Hiring and finding the right people to manage processes and systems. That's been the toughest part so far.
