Freedom to work whenever I want, on whatever I want to.
Tejas Rane is up.
Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Tejas Rane and I am a Solo Founder & Marketer of Affiliate Corner. I love building and launching online businesses. Have a knack in SEO.
What did it take/how did you get started?
It all started when I was working on my 9-5 and realized this is not I wanted to do. So initially I used to do Affiliate Marketing, and so I started a research platform for Affiliate Marketers called Affiliate Corner. It helps them with affiliate program research and niche insights. I have also launched LTD Ideas recently, to help people get product ideas that they can sell for one-time price.
What does the future look like for you and your business?
In future, I want to build a calm business, where it is fully scalable. Calm business is the one, where you don't have to bang your head on social media every day for sales. It's a loop where you get sales in an automated way, but obviously putting in efforts. But these sales are scalable. So I would want to scale my business keeping in mind the calm business philosophy.
What drives / motivates you on a daily basis?
Freedom to work whenever I want, on whatever I want to. The freedom to take breaks. The freedom to explore different places, without worrying. The freedom to make money which depends on how much value I bring. Realizing my potential and bringing it to the world, that motivates me. Also I am big on Jeff Bezos's Regret Minimization framework. I want to have no regrets whatsoever when I am old and didn't jump from the ship. That drives and motivates me each and every single day.
What advice would you give someone interested in doing what you do?
Have insane self belief and confidence in your abilities. Focus on upskilling. Have 1-2 core skillset but be flexible to learn more. Learn how AI models work, it's going to help you a lot. Follow smart people on X and keep up with the trends, because each and every day, things are changing. Last but not the least, have no regrets.
What has been the hardest part of your business journey?
It's delayed gratification. Keeping patience whilst you are in the rough time, is the hardest thing to do. Entrepreneurs when they win, they win big, and that you should know that. In this journey, you will find higher-highs and lower-lows. There is no in-between.
How have you managed burnout thus far?
Morning walks, sunshine, good music, being more social, traveling & exploring places, self talk.
What are a few resources that you'd recommend?
Books: Almanack of Naval Ravikant (Must read), Rich Dad Poor Dad (to understand how money works)
