Who are you and what do you do?
My name is Adam Stoker and I am the President/CEO at Relic Advertising + EKR.
Over the years, we have perfected processes and marketing strategies to allow for amazing products. We hand pick teams to work with specific accounts based on their needs and the strengths of our individual team members. We pride ourselves in a high level of client service and a hands-on approach to your specific marketing plan. Our creative department produces high level content and creativity in everything that they do because we understand how important messaging is, especially when coupled with high level creative.
What is your business advantage?
We help tourism destinations build audiences and ultimately visitation through owned media.
What drives/motivates you to keep scaling your business?
I feel like we're making a significant positive impact on the tourism industry.
What advice would you give someone interested in doing what you do?
Entrepreneurship requires the right combination of ignorance and ambition.
What has been the hardest part of running your business and scaling it to where it is?
Building a culture in a remote work environment.
What are three things that have contributed to your success the most?
1. Not quitting
2. Having a partner who compliments my strengths/weaknesses
3. Finding a niche that I'm passionate about and working to become an expert
Who or what has helped you the most in the journey so far?
Building a podcast and interviewing some of the smartest people in the industry so I can learn to understand their problems/challenges.
Are there any "musts" you have on a daily basis?
Exercise and spending a few minutes catching up with my wife.
What mindset shifts were required to achieve the success you've experienced to date?
It's lonely as the leader of a company and you have to come to grips with the fact that some people won't like you.
