Vishal Yadav

Who are you and what do you do?

My name is Vishal Yadav – I am the CEO & founder of ZealSoft Systems Pvt. Ltd. I love software development and have been in the software business professionally for the last 10 years. I have served in many technical and team leadership roles in my professional journey. I have worked for several clients based in different countries such as the USA, UK, Australia, Germany, and many more. Since my first year of college, I've been interested in making something that can change the world. I love to use software to figure out how to solve problems.

What did it take to get your first handful of customers?

Hard work, dedication, and consistency are essential for any business or individual to keep going. Working day and night for more than 6 months, we started losing hope, but then came the day when we got our first customer. It was like a dream come true, and felt like achieving million dollars. We put in lot of efforts, made collaborations, and faced multiple failures to get our first handful of customers.

Have you had to pivot the business to get to where you are today?

We never thought of pivoting our business, but when the pandemic hit our lives in 2019, we opted for several new things to reach where we are today. We never thought working from home could be so peaceful, fruitful, and beneficial for us and our business too. We lived and worked with our families. The 'Work from home' concept helped us utilize several new technologies, and we got wide exposure to the technical world. So, yes, we have had to pivot our business to reach where we are today.

What drives/motivates you on a daily basis?

Problem-solving, Passion, and Powerful outcomes are three factors that keep me going and motivated daily. I have a passion for technology and solving complex problems to generate powerful outcomes. Even if the outcome is not what we expected, it motivates us to experiment with different strategies/technologies and generate unique results. This is how we reached a stage where we have a team of more than 40 people who are dedicatedly working to achieving business objectives and satisfying clients.

When will you know that you've "made" it as an Entrepreneur?

The first time we called that we made it as an Entrepreneur was when we got our first client, and the second time was when we realized and fixed a minimum amount of budget for each project. In the future, that day will come when we'll become a household name.

What has been the hardest part of your business journey?

The hardest and most difficult part of our business journey was getting the first handful of customers. Getting our first client took 6 months of dedication, hard work, motivation, and consistency. This period has tested our patience, decision-making, persistence, and love toward our dream. Another difficult part of the business journey was maintaining a work-life balance.

Who or what has helped you the most in your journey so far?

There are several people and things that helped me in my professional journey so far. I am grateful to my family, business partners, and team members who are constantly putting effort in one way or another to help me achieve my goals. Other than that, my passion for technology and dream of becoming a leading innovative software development company in he world kept me moving so far.

What are a few resources that you'd recommend?

If you want to launch a company, you should start watching motivating videos on YouTube along with reading business news regularly. Some of the books that motivated me to take the first step of my business journey, and I recommend everyone to read them, are: Rich Da Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki, The $100 Startup By Chris Guillebeau and Zero to One By Peter Thiel
